- Introduce and end meetings with prayers
- Say grace before and after meals
- Have our own ordained chaplain
- Attend Masses for vocations and deceased Catenians
- Retreat at Mount St Bernard Abbey
- In prayer, remember deceased brothers

What we do socially
- Monthly meetings at the Cottage Hotel, Ruddington, with optional meal afterwards
- All other events are open to ladies and invited guests
- Monthly pub lunches
- Ladies evenings
- Invite our local clergy to dinner annually
- Our annual President’s Sunday Mass & Lunch
- Other events and visits (see below)

- President’s Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Grace, Cotgrave and lunch at Stanton-on-the-Wolds Golf Club

What we do in the community
- Support local secondary school pupils volunteering on the Lourdes Pilgrimage
- Sponsor local Catholic Schools Music Concert
- Sponsor Catholic Schools Public Speaking Competition
- Support local school pupils participation in the Biennial Flame Youth Congress
- Support young Catholics’ gap year and other projects through our Bursary fund
- Each year raise funds for a charitable cause
What can we do more widely in the Catenian Association?
- Visit meetings and social events in other circles locally or
further afield - Keep in touch monthly through Catena magazine in print or online
- Go on Catenian pilgrimages such as ones to the Holy Land,
Rome or Fatima - Join visits to Catenians overseas, such as those in India,
Australia or Malta.
